About the Unlock PDF

Encrypted PDFs are decrypted with qpdf running as WebAssembly on your device. The unlocked copy keeps every page, link and bookmark exactly as it was — only the encryption and permission flags are removed.
Unlock PDF is part of a free, privacy-first toolkit. Your files are handled entirely in the browser with pdf-lib and PDF.js, so nothing is uploaded to a server and there are no page or size limits.
