Something not working, or a tool you wish existed? Most problems have a quick fix below. If none of them help, email us — a real person reads it.

OneTool is a small independent project, so replies take a few days rather than a few minutes. Bug reports with the details listed below get fixed fastest.

Reporting a bug

Every tool runs on your device, so we can't see what went wrong from our side — there are no server logs of your session to check. Include as much of this as you can:

Common fixes

A tool won't load, or the page looks broken

The site caches itself for offline use, so a stale cache can survive a normal reload. Do a hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+F5 on Windows). If that doesn't fix it, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings, which drops the cached copy and re-downloads the current version.

My file is rejected or nothing happens when I add it

Each tool accepts a specific set of formats, listed on the tool's own page. A file with the wrong extension for its actual contents (a PNG renamed to .jpg, for example) can also be refused. Try the file in a different tool — if that works too, tell us the exact format and we'll look at the one that rejected it.

A big file or large batch freezes the tab

There is no upload limit, but processing happens in your device's memory, so very large images or long batches are bound by available RAM. Work in smaller batches, close other heavy tabs, and prefer a desktop browser for multi-hundred-megabyte jobs. Mobile browsers cap memory per tab far more aggressively and will reload the page when they hit it.

HEIC photos won't convert

HEIC is decoded in your browser rather than by the operating system, so it works on any modern browser but is slower on large files than a native Photos export. If a specific HEIC fails, it is usually a variant your browser can't decode — send us the camera and OS version and we'll check it.

Downloads don't start

Files are generated in the page and handed to your browser's downloader. Browser settings that block automatic downloads, or an extension that intercepts them, will stop that silently. Check your download settings and try again in a private window with extensions disabled.

My settings reset every visit

Tool preferences and your theme are stored in your browser's local storage. Private/incognito windows discard it when they close, and browsers set to clear site data on exit will do the same. Nothing is stored on a server, so settings can't follow you between devices.

Does anything work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the site installs as a Progressive Web App and caches itself, so tools keep running without a connection. If a page you have never opened is missing offline, visit it once while online to cache it.

Requesting a tool or feature

The toolkit grows from what people ask for. Send the job you are trying to do, not just the feature name — knowing the end goal often means an existing tool already covers it, and when it doesn't, the request lands higher on the list.

Worth checking first: all tools, the guides for step-by-step walkthroughs, and device sizes for App Store screenshot resolutions.

Privacy and security

Your files are processed in the browser and never uploaded — the privacy policy covers exactly what is and isn't collected. Found a security issue? Email the address above with the details and steps to reproduce, and please give us a chance to fix it before publishing.
