About the Double Click Test
Click normally and see whether your mouse sends accidental double clicks. Each click is timed, and suspiciously fast repeats are flagged — the classic sign of a worn switch.
Each press is timed against the previous press of the same button. A deliberate double click usually takes more than 100 ms, while a bouncing switch fires again within a few milliseconds — those clicks are highlighted so the fault is easy to show.
Double Click Test is part of a free, privacy-first toolkit. It uses your browser's built-in device APIs, so it starts instantly with nothing to install — and nothing you type, say or show ever leaves your device.
Because double click test works without any sign-up or installation, you can use it as often as you like and it's always available — on desktop or mobile, and even offline.

Double Click Test — FAQ
Usually the metal contact inside the switch has worn and bounces, sending two signals. Dust and static can cause it too. Cleaning or replacing the switch — or the mouse — fixes it.
