Instagram profile picture size: the right dimensions
Instagram stores profile pictures at 320×320 pixels and displays them as a circle. Upload a square at least that big, keep the subject centered, and it'll look sharp everywhere.

Making it look right
- Upload square — Instagram center-crops anything else, often badly.
- Keep faces and logos inside the inner ~80%: the circle crop removes all four corners.
- Upload larger than 320×320 (720×720 is a good target) so the image survives recompression sharp.
