How to convert AVIF to JPG
AVIF files are tiny but plenty of apps still can't open them — email clients, office software, older photo editors. Converting to JPG takes seconds and never uploads your image.
Steps
- Open the AVIF converter and drop in your .avif file.
- Choose JPG as the output and set quality (80–90 is visually lossless for most photos).
- Download the converted file — everything ran locally in your browser.
Good to know
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent AVIF areas are flattened onto a background during conversion. Expect the JPG to be noticeably larger than the AVIF — that's the price of universal compatibility, not a quality loss.
